Heavy Heart

My heart is a little heavy today. Ashlyn went to the doctor for her 15-month well child check-up and the doctor feels that she is about 6 months behind developmentally. 6 months! Ashlyn has now been referred to a team of specialists to evaluate her delays.
I cannot help but wonder if I did something wrong. What did I NOT do, or what did I do? I guess this is just how a mother thinks sometimes.

My heart is aching.

Please join me in praying for Ashlyn as she is in the Hands of the Great Physician.

yes, that's how a mother thinks, but in YOUR case, definitely not true!

Savannah has gone through the wringer as well. We are just now figuring out what's going on with her. She had the team evaluate her at 18 months and again at 2. The good news is that now Savannah is receiving the services she needs like Physical therapy and occupational therapy. Savannah has a mild form of CP and we just found out yesterday she is having seizure activity during sleep so she has to be on medicine (starting it today) Hang in there being a Mom is tough but I wouldn't trade the hard days for anything. She is beautiful by the way!

After Abigayl passed, I felt that I did something wrong and a vast amount to blame issues to work through. While working with a therapist, she told me, "blame is a way to feel that you had/have control over a situation". I will be praying for Ashlyn, you and the family.
